On the right-hand side of the screen is the Tracker:

This shows you the current size of your cohort. It also shows how each of your selected filters affects the overall size of the cohort.

The number shown upon arrival in Cohort Discovery is the number of patients in your base cohort (14,340 in the example above).

As you create and apply filters, the Tracker will show how many patients match these criteria.

Here, we can see that 7,488 patients out of a total base cohort of 14,365 match the criteria we’ve set:

Cohort size

The cohort size at the top of the tracker can display:

  • a patient count
  • a percentage of patients relative to the base cohort
  • how many patients per 100 meet the criteria relative to the base cohort
  • a count of the number of admissions the patients matching the criteria have had

Click the small circles to access the different cohort size views:

Quick ID

The QuickId function enables you to download a list of names and IDs of all patients belonging to the cohort.

Cohort count

Depending on your reporting requirements you can also choose to view the size of your cohort as a patient count, a percentage of patients, or number of admissions by using the picklist below:

IMPORTANT

It’s important to note that if no admissions-related data has been imported into Atmolytics, the tracker will not display admission counts.
