Copy forward

You can use the Copy Forward function to pull information from the last completed Care Plan into a new Care Plan. Click the Copy Forward icon on the right-hand side once you have started a New Care Plan.

The Copy Forward function will populate the Goal/Outcome sections, Date to be Achieved, Responsible People, and Interventions. However, it will not populate which Strengths/Needs are relevant. When using Copy Forward, the data will pull from the last Care Plan based on the date completed.

Copy Forward should never be used to complete all the information. It should be checked thoroughly to ensure the information is still relevant and nothing is missing or included that isn’t applicable to the service user.
