Functions
Use functions in longer, more complicated calculations.
Absolute
Using absolute will return the non-negative value of whatever question or calculation is inside the Abs function.
This is useful for calculating differences between values where you always want the outcome to be positive.
Power
When using the power function, everything inside the power box will be multiplied by itself the number of times specified. This will be set to square the values by default.
Use the buttons at the top of the power box to switch between different types of power: number ( 10²/10³), question (10question) or formula (102+question).
Square Root
Use the square root function to calculate the square root of anything inside the box.
Date Diff
Use the Date Diff function to calculate differences between dates.
Use the top drop-down to calculate the date difference in years, months, weeks or days.
You can select dates from the form, or system variables from your Imosphere data entry solution, including date of birth, date of death, involvement date and current date.
Use this for questions like ‘Age at Diagnosis’ or ‘Time since Diagnosis’.
